Hi Friends, it's me again! Latisea Calton Co Founder and Lead Interior Designer of MLEE Home Décor and More. Last week I revealed which room I had decided on tackling during the Spring 2024 One Room Challenge. If you missed that blog post click here.
It’s Week 2 and I'm so excited to share the project plan and reveal the #moodboard!
Presenting #projectupward
Isn't it beautiful?!
Sherwin Williams 2024 color of the year Upward, softly screams calm and serene vibes. Making it the perfect base for the hall bathroom refresh in my eyes. However, for my "clients" (the boys), it was a different story. Here's why: my "clients", are very opinionated; much like their mother. My oldest wanted a Hulk green bathroom and my youngest Spiderman red. But we all know that wasn't happening. lol
In order to make them see the vision, I had to remind them of the current situation by saying, "Take a look for yourself".
Opening the door to this....
"Nope!", said my oldest. After that I didn't have to persuade anyone. lol
Moving right along to the project plan; consisting of the following to-do list.
• Rip out the medicine cabinet and replace it with a mirror.
• Change out the dated light fixture that gives off no light.
• Make repairs
• Paint the walls with Sherwin Williams color of the year Upward!
• Paint the vanity with Behr paint.
• Remove and paint trim.
• Replace trim and use sealant to fill in gaps between walls, trim, toilet, tub and floor with my brand partner SASHCO.
• Change the faucet on the vanity and in the shower.
• DIY silver accessories and spray paint them black.
• Add art and Décor.
• Style and photograph.
Needless to say, the team and I got our work cut out for us.
Next week is #demoday!
So stay tuned for weekly updates as I take you through this 8 week challenge sponsored by the ORC and their media partner Apartment Therapy. From beginning to end you will see how #projectupward unfolds up until the grand reveal May 21, 2024.

I had to laugh at the fact that your boys are opinionated, because I also know what's it's like to have very opinionated family members wanting to chime in on interior design decisions. I think you handled it superb!
